Tiada sebarang Projek atau Janji utk PRK Galas...

HA HA HA MUSANG BERBULU..APA YA..?

Awal-awal lagi .

GUA MUSANG: About 1,500 poor families here will soon be able to move into three-bedroom flats.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the constituency's first People's Housing Project (PPR), will enable the poor from various races to live in comfortable homes.

"The project will be completed in three years and will greatly benefit the residents," he said after launching the RM180 million PPR Housing Project in Taman Wangi, Galas, yesterday.

Present at the launch were Housing and Local Government minister Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung, Kelantan Umno chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.

This is the first time PPR flats will be built in Kelantan. It is also the first time 50 per cent of the flats, comprising 750 units, will be allocated to non-Bumiputeras.

Normally only 30 per cent are set aside for non-Bumiputeras.

The PPR project will see the construction of 1,500 five-storey flats, comprising 18 blocks, on a 13.8 hectare plot owned by the South Kelantan Development Authority (Kesedar), located across Sungai Ketil.

Measuring 700sq ft, each unit will have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The flats will also have public facilities such as carparks, surau, multi-purpose hall, kindergarten and playground.

The flats would be sold for RM35,000 each or be rented out at RM124 a month.

Muhyiddin denied that the project was an election gimmick, saying the proposal had been in place since 2008.

He said Tengku Razaleigh, who is also the Barisan Nasional election operations director for Galas, had requested for a PPR project in the constituency and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had agreed.

"BN is taking this initiative to help the under-privileged. The residents have waited for this for a long time."

He said Kelantan and its people were important to the Federal Government which did not want to see the state marginalised from mainstream developments.

Chor said besides the PPR flats, his ministry also spent RM2.6 million on the constituency for dengue eradication pellets and allocations for the three new villages, and more than 20 traditional Malay villages for development and upgrading work.
